Clean Air Now a Major Factor for Parents Choosing Schools

Through our SmartGo workplace travel programme, we continue to champion the cause for reducing air pollution by providing travel options for employers and their employees to decrease their reliance on private car use.

However, according to a new article in The Observer newspaper, as diesel emission fears mount, commuting is not the only area under focus as a growing number of parents are now considering clean air as the main factor when choosing a school.

The article claims that 'an increasing number of parents are shunning good schools because of the local air quality while some are even looking to move out of cities altogether, as fears over the effects of diesel emissions on health mount'.
