Join teams of experts to develop the transport solution of tomorrow at IMCreate 2015 - the Transport Systems Catapult’s inaugural Smart Transport Solutions Hackathon.

The Transport Systems Catapult (TSC) will run the World’s first Intelligent Mobility Hackathon in November, as part of its on-going mission to accelerate innovation in transport and you can be part of it. The event will use the intensive environment of a Hackathon event along with the transport data index by the TSC at www.imdata.co.uk to address critical problems within the UKs transport network.

The event, held over Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th November 2015, will bring together over 100 data scientists; software engineers; business thinkers; marketers and innovators, as well as public and private transport sector end-users and suppliers.

Leicestershire County Council has been awarded funding by the Department for Transport to support businesses in the Hinckley and Bosworth area during the 2015/16 financial year.

Businesses of any size are invited to bid for up to £2,500 grant funding towards physical measures that will reduce the barriers to employees travelling to and for work sustainably.

The summer of cycling is not over yet so why not make the most of it! If you’re gearing up for the Sky Ride at the end of the month or attending one of the many local rides in Hinckley, give your bike the once over.

Dr Bike and Active Hinckley travel advisors will be heading to Hinckley Train Station, Monday 24 August 6.30am – 12.30pm.

Each 15 minute session includes safety checks on brakes, seats and handle bars, where adjustments will be made if necessary. This can include fixing punctures and adjusting brakes and gears, as well as advising on potential problems and tips on how to look after your bike.

Need advice on getting around Hinckley? The Active Hinckley team will also be giving out local travel advice and info.
