The Milton Keynes Council electric vehicle charge point webpage has recently been updated with new tariff information so make sure your staff with electric vehicles are aware of the new tariff charges (in place since August 2015).
There are a number of benefits associated with travelling by EVs. For example, by using a rapid charge point you can charge your car in just 20 minutes (the maximum park time in rapid charger bays is 30 minutes). You can use these rapid chargers under the new tariff for £2.50 or less, which will give a full charge of many electric cars. The cost of filling a similar sized car with petrol or diesel, to travel an equivalent distance, is over £15.
Milton Keynes Council is inviting every cyclist to show their love of cycling and the city by taking part in a photo competition starting from 9am Friday 25th September and ending on Friday 23rd October 2015.
It could be a group photo, your bike at an MK landmark or a selfie as long as it has been taken in the Milton Keynes Borough area and shows at least one bicycle or part of.

Rugby World Cup matches in MK
Rugby World Cup 2015 has started and with days to go until the first matches to held right here in Milton Keynes, excitement is certainly building.
Over the past few months Milton Keynes Council have been working closely with England 2015, Thames Valley Police, The Parks Trust and other partners to make the visitor experience for rugby fans enjoyable and to show that Milton Keynes is a great city to host sporting events.
Three of the 48 Rugby matches will be played at stadiummk starting with France v Canada 8pm on October 1, Samoa v Japan 2:30pm October 3 and Fiji v Uruguay 8pm October 6.

Organisations from around the UK and their departments and staff are all invited to take part in the National Cycle Challenge. A fun and free competition to see who can get the most people riding a bike.
You can ride anywhere, anytime during the 3 week Challenge. People only need to ride for just 10 minutes to take part!
The government wants the UK to become a world leader in driverless technology.
It will publish a code of practice in the spring which will allow the testing of autonomous cars to go ahead.
Self-drive pods that will be tested in Milton Keynes and Coventry are unveiled for the first time.
The government promised a full review of current legislation by the summer of 2017.
That review will consider whether a higher standard of driving should be demanded of automated vehicles.
